This tutorial will show you how to enable General Ledger (GL) audit numbering and set preferences in NetSuite.

Step-by-Step Guide 📋

  1. Enable GL Audit Numbering
    • Navigate to Setup > Company > Enable Features.🗂️
    • Select the Accounting subtab.
    • Under Basic Features, locate G/L Audit Numbering and enable it.
    • Click Save to confirm.
  2. Set GL Audit Numbering Preferences
    • Go to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences.⚙️
    • In the General subtab, find the General Ledger section.
    • Locate GL Audit Numbering Method and select your preferred method (options include Base Accounting Period, Quarter, or Year).
  3. Set Reporting and Search Preferences
    • Go to Home > Set Preferences.📊
    • In the Analytics subtab, locate Reporting.
    • Choose Financials Only for Report by Period to apply this to all reports.
