- Why Set Up Billing Schedules? 💡
- Setting up billing schedules directly from a transaction allows you to apply custom invoicing terms seamlessly during the creation of new transactions.
- Accessing Sales Orders 📂
- Navigate to:
- Transactions > Sales > Enter Sales Order.
- Select the sales order you want to use.
- Navigate to:
- Locate the Billing Subtab 🔍
- Under the Billing subtab, find the Billing Schedule field.
- You can either:
- Select an existing billing schedule.
- Create a new one directly from the transaction.
- Define Billing Schedule Details 📝
- Set options like:
- Initial amountsRecurrence frequencyTerms
- Set options like:
- Save and Approve 💾
- Once you’re happy with the billing schedule, click Save.
- If the schedule is private, it will only be accessible from the transaction where it was created.
- Making Billing Schedules Public 🌍
- To make the billing schedule available for all transactions, check the Public box.
- Note: Milestone billing schedules cannot be marked as public.
- Auto-Attaching Private Schedules 🔗
- If you create a private billing schedule from an estimate, it will automatically attach to items on any resulting sales orders.
- New lines added to these sales orders can also use the private schedule.

- To view billing schedules:
- List > Accounting > Billing Schedules.
- Use filters to view public, private, or all schedules.
- Edit schedules as needed, but note:
- Changes won’t automatically apply to linked open sales orders.
- To sync updates, reopen and re-save the sales order.
